In the process of updating my computer (MacBook Pro) to OS High Sierra, I deleted and re-installed SPSS 23. (I know it is technically not supported on High Sierra but I need to keep using version 23 for the time being until I can upgrade to 25). Right-click the License Authorization Wizard shortcut and choose Run As Administrator. Now when SPSS loads, it will not let me open any files. a)Please ensure that your code: - is valid for the right version. T o launch the License Authorization Wizard, click License Product on the Welcome dialog or choose License Authorization Wizard in the Windows Start menu program group for IBM SPSS Modeler. Yesterday I tried to run the License Authorization Wizard and got the following error: *End of job: 38 command lines 1 errors 0 warnings 1 CPU seconds* >There was an unanticipated problem with the license for this product. *Authorization failed.: You are not allowed to generate any more new licenses. So I contacted SPSS and they sent me a new authorization code. When I run the License Authorization Wizard and try this new code, it seems to work, saying “successfully processed all codes.” However, when I then try to run SPSS, I still get the “Error # 2072” message. If for some reason the licensing window does not begin after installation (or if you need to do it later), you can also license by accessing IBM SPSS Statistics 25 License Authorization Wizard from your Windows start menu or from the Applications folder in Finder on the Mac. And when I go back to the License Authorization Wizard, it still says “No licenses found for IBM SPSS Statistics” at the first screen (even after having run it with the new authorization code a few different times, each seeming to work).
